What we collect
When you use Memoirist, we collect the account information you provide (name, email), the biographical details and answers you submit through our guided questionnaire, and any photos or documents you choose to upload. If you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive the basic profile information those services share with us (name and email).
How we use it
Your answers and uploaded materials are used solely to generate the biography, video tribute, and related products you request. We use trusted third-party services to power specific features: Anthropic (biography writing), OpenAI and Runway (image and video generation), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and Supabase (data storage). Each of these providers only receives the minimum information needed to perform its function.
AI and your data
Your memories, photos, and personal details are never used to train public AI models. The AI providers we use process your content only to generate your requested output and do not retain it for model training under our agreements with them.
Storage and security
Photos, documents, and biography data are stored with Supabase, encrypted at rest and in transit. Access to your data is limited to what's necessary to provide the service. Shareable legacy pages are only accessible via a private, unguessable link that you choose to share.
Sharing with contributors
If you invite family members or friends to contribute photos or memories to a video tribute, they submit content directly and it becomes part of that biography's materials, visible to you as the project owner.
Your choices
You can request deletion of your account and associated data, download your biography at any time, or contact us with any privacy questions or requests at contact@memoiristai.com.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
